Open call Ireland’s 4CNW voucher programme

Ireland’s 4CNW voucher programme, a contributing action of ECIA, has released an open call for applications to the new fund, delivered by The Creative State North West (PPP) following their Get Innovating: Faster, Better, Smarter event held this week in Sligo, Ireland. Attended by SMEs and Companies from the Tourism, Technology, Life Sciences and Agri-food sectors from across the region, the packed audience heard about the new Business Innovation Support Programme 4CNW and the accompanying fund of €100,000 for Innovation/Talent Vouchers.

Vouchers IN Creative Industries: submit your project

On 27th June a Matchmaking Event within the “VINCI” (Vouchers IN Creative Industries) project, has taken place in Salzburg/Austria. Around 80 participants (SMEs and providers of creative industrial services) have there been informed about the VINCI project and about the increase of innovation capacity through creatives. At the end of this event there have been round table-discussions with SMEs and creatives about their expectations, motivations and possibilities for accomplishing a successful innovation together.

Policy Learning Platform of the ECIA sets its vision in Amsterdam

On the 14th of June 2012 the 25 members of the Policy Learning Platform of the European Creative Industries Alliance (ECIA) had its first formal meeting in Amsterdam to discuss how to fully unlock the potential of creative industries in Europe. It brought together regional and national policy-makers across Europe with the aim to develop a better strategy for the development of creative industries in Europe, notably in the areas of better business support, access to finance, cluster excellence & cooperation and facilitating cross-sectoral linkages.

First ECCL cluster meeting in Warsaw

On June 6th 2012, the City of Warsaw organised a Creative Camp on the 'European Creative Cluster Lab – Managing Networked Creativity to Boost European Competitiveness' (ECCL). The meeting, held at Soho Factory, was aimed at setting up a working group which will play an active role in the project activities.
