New call for proposals on “European Creative Districts” & Information session

A call for proposals on "European Creative Districts" has just been published on the DG Enterprise and Industry webportal. The call shall support two large-scale demonstrators that aim at demonstrating the transformative power of creative industries for the rejuvenation of traditional industrial regions. DG Enterprise & Industry organises an information session on 12 April 2012.

Open Call: members for the Policy Learning Platform

To fully unlock the potential of the creative industries the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry has established the "European Creative Industries Alliance" (ECIA) in December 2011. The Policy Learning Platform of the ECIA has been set up aimed at pulling together regional and national policy-makers to develop "better practice" in support of creative industries. The main task of this platform is to steer and further promote the ECIA through the open method of coordination. Through this Open Call the ECIA is looking for candidates for the Policy Learning Platform. Deadline for submission of applications is postponed until Tuesday 17 April 2012.

Service Innovation: Call for the expression of interest to select six model demonstrator regions

The Support for Industrial Innovation Unit at the European Commission's Enterprise and Industry Directorate-General is inviting regional organisations to take advantage, free of charge, of new types of advisory support services offered by the forthcoming European Service Innovation Centre in view of better capitalising on service innovation for promoting regional development and facilitating industrial change. The aim is to assist regions in designing better policies based on the "transformative power of service innovation".
