Call for applications: Spillover Innovations wanted!

The European Centre for Creative Economy (ECCE) asks innovative spillover projects to apply for the N.I.C.E. award. This prize will be awarded at the Forum d’Avignon Ruhr on 12 June 2014 in Essen, Germany. Apply before 25 April!

ECCE is charged with the sustainably development of the creative industries and the pan-European networking from the Ministry for family affairs, children, youth, culture and sport of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. As Leadpartner of the “Network for Innovation in Culture and Creativity in Europe” (N.I.C.E.) ecce will bestow the N.I.C.E. Award at the Forum d´Avignon Ruhr 2014 this year for the second time.

Can you apply?
Participants from the EU (member states and candidate countries) can now apply under the slogan “Spillover Innovations”: artists, cultural professionals and entrepreneurs with finished projects in the cultural and creative industry, scientists, universities with ongoing research projects as well as politicians, municipalities and regions with political measures and strategies. The Award looks for culture creative projects/research/politics that effect society beyond the field of culture and creative industries (so called spillover) and which are doing this in an innovative way.
Deadline for application is 25th April 2014.

There is an amount of 5.000 euros to win, plus a space in the N.I.C.E. exhibition. This exhibition opens together with the Forum d´Avignon Ruhr on June 10th. The minister for economic affairs of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia Garrelt Duin will present the prize on 12 June at the 3rd Forum d´Avignon Ruhr.
