Creative Business Cup 2013: The winner is…


H.R.H. Prince Joachim of Denmark handed over the prizes as Teddy the Guardian (Croatia) was announced as winner of Creative Business Cup 2013 - the world championships for creative entrepreneurs. After a very exiting voting, the jury decided to award the team behind Teddy The Guardian as the winner.

Along with that came a price of USD 20.000, a SoftLayer Catalyst StartUp Program as well as a VIP participation in the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Moscow during March 2014. Kinematics (Germany) took the second place prize of USD 10.000. Bulgaria received the SoftLayer prize, Croatia received the T-shirts and Suits prize, Belgium won the Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship prize and Austria and Philippines got the Special Mention prizes by the jury, as sponsored by Anne Black.

Creative Business Cup
The Creative Business Cup was awarded during a three day event combining networking, pitching, an investor seminar, matchmaking – and a whole lot of fun. About 36 countries took part in the event, over 450 international guests enjoyed the three days and new connections across borders ware made. The highly competent jury gave professional feedback and good advise to every team and they have now returned to their home countries with new inspiration for further development of their business concepts, and their business skills have been improved. The international host of Global Entrepreneurship Week and the Kauffman Foundation also used the Creative Business Cup as an opportunity to present the international award, ‘Startup Open’, which was also won by the participants from Croatia for their product ‘Teddy The Guardian’.
