PRO INNO Europe is officially endingPRO INNO Europe was set up by the European Commission (DG Enterprise and Industry) in order to become ‘the focal point for innovation policy analysis and policy cooperation in Europe’ (source: PRO INNO Europe).

For six years, PRO INNO Europe was a crucial player in the stimulation, promotion and analysis of innovation policy within the European industry. As of 19 August 2012, the website of PRO INNO Europe has been online but dormant. However, users can still upload news and events themselves until the website’s closing date of 31 December.

PRO INNO Europe paved the way to new initiatives in the field, such as the European Mobile and Mobility Industries Alliance (EMMIA) and the European Creative Industries Alliance (ECIA).

The EMMIA and ECIA will continue to support EU enterprises to innovate and cooperate.
