VINCI leaves mark on Creative Industries in Austria

11 DECEMBER 2013

The European creative vouchers system developed in the VINCI project led to a 30 times bigger national support scheme for the creative industries. The project came to an end this November, and Lucia Seel summarizes the final results of the VINCI project.

The VINCI project closed successfully on November 30th 2013 by achieving its goal to develop, implement and test in real life conditions a voucher scheme for 20 creative vouchers to encourage the wider use of innovative services of the creative industries by companies or organisations from diverse sectors.

Voucher model
Much more, it served as a model for the development and implementation of a national creative voucher system to support this type of cooperation, by which the Austrian Federal Ministry of Economy, Family and Youth supported the distribution of 600 creative vouchers worth of 3 Mio. Euro. The success of these measures that led in 2013 to a variety of cooperation activities between the creative industries and other sectors is demonstrated by the sustainability of the policy, as right now negotiations for the continuation of the voucher system in 2014 are being taken and will hopefully lead to a new wave of innovative solutions through creativity.

Thank you note
Austria wirtschaftsservice gmbh (aws) – as coordinator of the VINCI project – would like to thank all the involved strategic partners and stakeholders at regional, national and European level for their given support throughout the project lifetime and close the project with the mission accomplished.
