Creative enterprises located in Lombardy are about 17% of the total national number and the city of Milan alone concentrates more than 10% of the Italian share. Concerning fashion sector, the manufacturing districts present on the territory are 10 (more than 15% of the national total) and involve about 31% of the industry resources in Italy.

The aims of the Start Up Fashion project is to promote and encourage innovative start up companies operating in the fashion industry. The main target of the project are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) existing since no more than 3 years and with at least two third of members woman and/or youngsters (18-35 years old) resident in Lombardy for a minimum of 5 years.

Each company will be granted with a voucher maximum of €40.000. This amount will be used for the purchase of services as location, training and communication.
