The European Commission has launched a proposal to boost Europe’s cultural and creative industries: Creative Europe.
The EU’s Directorate-General for Internal Policies (Structural and Cohesion Policies: Culture and Education) has recently published the report ‘Use of Structural Funds for Cultural Projects’. The study analyses the use of Structural Funds (SFs) in the period 2007-2013 and provides advice on how to facilitate access to SFs for culture under the new Cohesion Policy proposal for 2014-2020.
November 2012 witnessed the publication of the final report of the Organza research project, entitled 'Crossing Borders for Creativity'.
The European Design Innovation Initiative reached an important milestone on the 17th September 2012 when the European Design Leadership Board delivered its report "Design for Growth & Prosperity" at the European Design Innovation Summit in Helsinki to Antonio Tajani, the European Commission vice-president and commissioner for industry and entrepreneurship. The report contains 21 recommendations for actions enhancing the role of design for innovation.
