Creative Wallonia is one of the creative districts that sets an example for regional policy in the creative and cultural industries. CoWallonia is one of the five partners in this project, and aims to let creative and traditional industries work together through coworking spaces. The latest report by an expert group representing the EU Member States states that creative goods take up 4.3 % of the EU external exports and that cultural exports is an important spindle in the development of creative ecosystems.
The Legal Committee of the European Parliament commissioned the study and placed authors at the very core of the research. The study looks at the provisions of national copyright and contract law that affects the bargaining power and the contracts that creators enter into to exploit their rights in the EU.
